Another Margarita

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Today, at the street market, produce was in abundance. I saw these Galia Melons, and wanted some for a salad to go with tonight’s bbq. And thought a drink with them might also be in order.
It’s been a hot couple of days after our slow start to Spring. It went from coolish, to Whack!

I had joked with my friend, that it wouldn’t be long before we complained about it being hot. Now once, I wouldn’t have thought 30°c (86°f) was all that hot. But now I’m quite acclimated to cool temperatures, where I think somewhere between 20-25°c is quite an acceptable level of hot, and 10-15°c is still ok.

Back in the day, when I lived out in the desert of South Australia, 20° was thought of, as a cold day. How times change. As do our likes and dislikes.

I think I’ve always liked Tequila though 😉

I used
A quarter melon-chopped roughly
60ml Tequila-Jose Cuervo (to use it up)
30ml Agave Syrup
30ml Lime Juice
(No Curaçao in tonight’s edition)

I whacked that in a blender, buzzing it till it looked smooth, then added some ice and buzzed it again.
I just poured it, and used a dehydrated lime wheel.

When Rob and I were first living together, back in the day, I used to make melon margaritas a lot. I used to add Midori back then. Which is nice as well. I left it out this time. But it still has fond memories attached to it. As does the CPHE ☺️
