It Tastes Like Sherbert

Original Melon Weather

I saw this recipe, and thought I could adapt it to use my leftover Acid Adjusted Watermelon Juice from yesterday’s experiment.

It worked very well. Rob’s first statement was “it tastes like sherbert”, so there you have the name.

I dropped the lime juice from the original, and upped my watermelon juice to make up for the lime juice in the recipe. It gave me a much tangier mix at the finish. And once you add the soda water, it creates a very sherbet orientated end product.

The original was
45ml Tequila-1800 here
45ml Watermelon Juice
30ml Lime Juice
15ml Agave Syrup
7.5ml Fresh Cucumber Juice
7.5ml Cointreau
30ml Soda Water

I used 60ml of my Acid adjusted Watermelon Juice, and dropped out the Lime.

Shake all except the soda water with ice until well chilled, and strain over fresh ice, top with soda water.

Garnish
For me, it was a dehydrated Lime Wheel. I didn’t have any Watermelon left.

It’s definitely a tangy watermelon flavour. Well worth the experiment though.
