Recipe by Edwin J Rio’s

This came up as a most requested recipe. I didn’t have Moroccan Bitters, so had to ad lib somewhat.
I used a piece of coriander root, chopped it a bit, and muddled it slightly. I added some mole bitters that are homemade, a small tip sprig of mint, and some flakes of cinnamon that were in with my cinnamon sticks.

It’s a White Negroni variant, utilising Salers Gentian, along with Reposado Tequila, some Mezcal, and Nixta. That deliciously corn flavoured delight, that tastes like fresh creamed corn, or as my mate Max said, like fresh Tortillas.

Recipe
30ml Reposado Tequila (he recommends Cimarron) I went with Teremana
22.5ml Salers Gentian Aperitif
22.5ml Nixta Livorno de Elote
15ml Mezcal ( Legendario Domingo recommended) I went with Dos Hombres
A dash Moroccan Bitters

Stir all ingredients with ice, then strain into a double old fashioned glass, over 1 large ice cube.

Garnish
An Orange Twist
