Our friends from North Carolina are visiting, they have done a whirlwind trip of Amsterdam, London, Paris, and back to Amsterdam.
Angie, our friend, and the group leader (of her husband and 3 kids) has planned this trip over many months. And the execution of said trip has mostly worked out well. The odd train delay here and there, worn out kids, and husband as well. But all in all, a great time being had by all.
I saw this drink recipe, and because of the name, thought I would have to make it for Angie.
Well, unquestionably, it’s got some punch. To say it’s a gutsy drink is a bit of minimisation. It’s forward flavoured, and with assault your senses, but in a good way.
Undoubtedly, a sipper, slowly, as my guests found out. But I’m sure it aided their nights rest, after a day of delayed travel, then straight to it, to explore more of beautiful Amsterdam.
Did I hear complaints from the sideline about the weather? A beautiful summers day here, only jumpers (sweaters) and a light rain jacket needed. But the sun didn’t set on our parade!
