I’m kind of commiserating with myself for not finishing my walk today. I walked a good distance yesterday, and guess I over extended myself, because, was I knackered after about 10km today. I will have to pick up the rest next time.

Tim describes this as a great Mezcal cocktail (aren’t they all?) with a lot of character. Having hints of gentian, celery, grapes, and a slight herbal note.

He says this cocktail is something to talk about. Well, let’s find out, shall we?
It has Mezcal, Suze AND Green Chartreuse, so it’s definitely going to be herbal, and gentian forward. My kind of drink.

The Lillet Blanc will add some sweetness with its honeyed orange and passion fruit goodness. I know a lot of people are struggling with stocks of Green Chartreuse right now, and I think Genepy may be easier to source in the US. Maybe?

Chartreuse is definitely gonna pack a bigger punch than Genepy in this recipe. ABV, Genepy is 45%, while Chartreuse is 55%. And flavour wise, Chartreuse has a lot more Oomph as well.
Genepy has more of a tarragon forward flavour to me, in its herbalness. I have that available to me as well, so I might try it that way another day as a comparison. I will let you know if I do.
