Unfortunately this drink was served after the New York Sour, and before The Turnbuckle. And while it is a great drink, it was lost between these two. The New York Sour is a powerful Bourbon forward drink, tempered by the Red Wine float.
And The Turnbuckle is a very forward drink, dominated by Cynar and Jamaican Rum. So what else could you expect.
I served the New York Sour as a kind of tada drink, because it looks so impressive, which it delivers in taste as well. But in hindsight the Suze forward drink should have been the leader here
15ml Poire William Liqueur- again I used Grey Goose Pear Vodka
10ml Jove Mezcal- I used Verde Momento this time.
20ml Fresh Lemon Juice
10ml Simple Syrup 2:1
15ml Egg White- a simple rule is an egg white is about 30ml, and I made multiple at once.
Shake all ingredients together with ice, and strain back into shaker. Dry shake (without ice) and strain into an ice filled glass.
Dehydrated pear slice – this time I used a dried lime wheel.
