Shirley Heights
Recipe from Mixel, by The NoMad Cocktail Book

It’s my mother in law’s birthday today! I was then looking for a recipe that contained strawberries, and found this little beauty. My mother in laws name is Shirley, what’s not to love.

I went to Albert Cuypmarkt today, and the intoxicating perfume of the strawberries pervaded the air. I just had to buy some. They weren’t on my list.

Anyone that’s been to Amsterdam would probably have been to the Albert Cuypmarkt. It’s a great place for food, as well as touristy stuff. And all the spring berries are coming in now. So the smell is just awesome.

Ingredients
1 Strawberry
1 teaspoon Passionfruit Syrup
7.5ml Vanilla Syrup
15ml Orgeat
15ml Lime Juice
22.5ml Aperol
30ml Fino Sherry
30ml Dark Rum, pot still-Plantation OFTD used

Destructions
Muddle the strawberry in the shaker. Then add the other ingredients. Add 3 ice cubes and shake. Strain into a Belgium Glass (they obviously don’t know that there’s at least 10 to choose from), filled with crushed ice. Top with more crushed ice.

Garnish
Mint sprig and a strawberry.

This drink, so crushable, and delicious. A fruit punch, to spring into Spring with.
