This one came from Mixel. It doesn’t tell me who to credit for the recipe.
Again, my fresh aromatic strawberries from the Albert Cuypmarkt in Amsterdam. I talked briefly about the market yesterday. It’s open 6 days a week, not Sunday. And carries fresh food, fish, and meat. It also has an assortment of cooked food as well. Stroopwafels made while you wait. Lots of local, and international food. There’s even a stall that just sells Cannoli. And there’s there’s lots of clothes, furniture, and even a garden stall. And the tea shop, that also has a vast array of spices and dried herbs.
You want it, Albert Cuypmarkt probably has it.
As I said yesterday, I think any of you that have been to Amsterdam have probably visited it.
I thought Cocchi would go well with the strawberries for its honeyed sweetness. And to accompany the smokiness of the Ilegal Mezcal. Yum.
Now, to the drink, huh?
Ingredients
30ml Mezcal Joven-Ilegal used
30ml White Sweet Vermouth-I used Cocchi Americano
15ml Fresh Lemon Juice
15ml Simple Syrup-I used Strawberry Simple Syrup as I had it in the fridge
2 Strawberries
10 Mint Leaves
Destructions
Add 2 cups of pebble ice to a blender, with all your above ingredients, and blend for about 15secs. Decant to a Hurricane Glass, or something, and
Garnish
A mint sprig and a strawberry slice. Or as I did, a whole one.
