Definitely a very festive style drink. And I get to use the Cherry Heering.
I think this drink would vary with each type of whisky/whiskey you used. Monkey Shoulder it is tonight here. Probably also with the brandy, although that’s it quite so significant here.
I also think if you used a bit of rum, it would vary it.
I made some small fruit cakes for some of my neighbours and friends this year. They all got dosed with rum after. For me, rum says Christmas flavour.
- 75ml Whiskey-I used Monkey Shoulder
- 7.5ml Cherry Heering
- 7.5ml Brandy- I used Hennessy
- 15ml Orgeat- I only have homemade
- 15ml Lime Juice
- 2 dashes Tiki Bitters- Elemakule used.
Put everything in your shaker, with ice, and shake that baby, dump, unstrained, into your selected glass. Add more crushed ice. Put your cherry on top. And drizzle a bit of the syrup from the cherry on top. Grate a touch of cinnamon on top of that.
Garnish
Brandied cherry ( Fabbri used) and cinnamon.
This drink says festive and winter!
