I made a watermelon syrup, using by weight, half the amount of sugar, that I had of watermelon.
So as an example 250gm of sugar, to 500gm of cubed up melon. I let this macerate in the fridge for about a day (mine was probably 28hrs). I mashed it and mixed it till I made sure all the sugar was dissolved. Then I added about 30ml of vodka to my slightly more than 500ml of juice/syrup.
- 60ml Watermelon syrup
- 60ml Tequila-Fortaleza
- Juice of a lime.
- 3 screws of black pepper. (Or how ever much you like- it’s quite peppery)
Shaken all with cracked ice, then strained. Poured over fresh ice.
Lime slice, as I used up all my watermelon 😳
