I first tasted this Whisky at @caneandgrain.nl. Bram gave me a sample taste when I just happened to be there at the same time as Dan, from @jdwilliamswhiskybar.com was there, so I kind of got to tag along on their tastings, and gleaned a heap, from their conversation about where whisky and whiskey, were heading.
I definitely learned a lot just listening. It was a very fortuitous visit.
Both places are well worth a visit, if you are in, or visiting Amsterdam.
The whisky bar also does food, and Taco Tuesday has been a many times revisit for us.
Recipe
15ml Nixta Licor de Elote
60ml Abasolo El Whisky de Mexico
3 dashes Angostura Bitters
Add Nixta, Abasolo, and bitters to a mixing glass. Add ice and stir until cold and diluted. Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice.
Garnish
Lemon and Orange Twist
Just a simple, but delectable, bevvie, for the evening.
And as you may notice, our evening daylight is slowly extending now.
