Recipe from Drinks by Wild, from Craft Cocktail Club
I saw this drink posted, and knew I would make it this weekend. I had seen some great looking nectarines in one of our local butcher/deli places here, along Haarlemerdijk, and knew they would suit this drink perfectly.
We had a couple of friends around for dinner tonight. And I tried not to knock one of them out this time with a rum forward drink.
This was a successful winner.
- 60ml Rye Whiskey-I used Bulleit
- 30ml Lemon Juice
- 22.5ml Honey Syrup
- 1/2 Nectarine
- 3 dashes angostura bitters
Muddle nectarine, lemon and honey syrup in a mixing tin, add the mint and give a gentle press, add rye and shake with ice.
Strain into a collins glass filled with crushed ice.
Top with a few dashes of bitters and garnish with a mint sprig and nectarine slice.
