Cherry Blossom

I wanted something Asian inspired to go with dinner tonight. What better than something bright and shiny, as we go into the darkness of winter!
As well, this reminds me of our trip to Japan, following our Aussie wedding, when all the blossom was just- blossoming. As it does.
22.5ml Fresh Lime Juice
30ml Pineapple Juice
15ml Cinnamon Syrup
30ml Cream of Coconut- I used Real- he says Coco Lopez
15ml Blue Curaçao- Bols, it’s what I’ve got till it runs out
45ml lightly aged Rum- I used Havana Club 3- recipe calls for Puerto Rican
Add all ingredients to your shaker, with crushed ice. Shake that baby good and proper. Then pour your glorious creation into a hurricane glass.
Garnish
Lime wheel, cinnamon stick, and a sprig of mint.
Voila!
This drink surprised the imbibers. They were expecting something minty, from the appearance of the drink.
What they encountered was a light, fresh, and sweet taste, without being cloying. A very well balanced drink, in my opinion. That perfectly complimented the meal.
