Pedaling Diplomat

Rating: 4 out of 5.

From Diffords Guide. Adapted from a recipe by Iván Villegas

It really, in my mind, refers to Mark Rutte, the Dutch Prime Minister, known for his cycling to work through the streets of Den Haag.

Rob described this as silky, and mistakenly thought it would be spirit forward.
I bought this Jasmine Verte on a bit of a whim, then had to search to find a recipe to go with it. It’s very fragrant forward, and works so well with the two vermouth.
Now I will just have to experiment a bit with it. I’m sure gin will be a great pairing spirit for it as well. Maybe some tequila or Mezcal as well.
I will get back to you on those. 😊🤔

55ml Martini Riserva Speciale Ambrato- Manchino Vermouth Ambrato used.
40ml Belsazar Vermouth Dry- Cocchi Americano used
10ml Muyu Jasmine Verte Liqueur

Stir all ingredients with ice, and stain into a chilled Nick & Nora Glass

Garnish with a lemon twist, which you then discard, and an olive, which I didn’t have.
