Summer’s Negroni

Summer’s Negroni
Recipe by thehobbychef on Instagram.

I saw he posted the recipe for the Strawberry Rhubarb cordial, and promised the drink recipe as well. So as I had copious quantities of both strawberries and rhubarb, I thought I would give it a go.

It’s fruity, but not sweet at all. Very summery and refreshing.

There’s a lot of fragrance, even before you take a sip. You the sweetness from the strawberries, the tartness from the rhubarb and the bitterness from the Campari. Very umami all round.

  • 45ml Gin-I used The Botanist
  • 30ml Campari
  • 30ml Strawberry and Rhubarb cordial
  • 15ml dry Vermouth-Drapo
  • 15ml Fresh Orange Juice

Add all ingredients to shaker with ice, and shake. Strain over pebbled ice.

Garnish
With an orange wedge. However, I used some strawberries and some pine berries.
